Off-Season Projects: Swerve & Experimentation

Champions are made in the summer. Why you should build 'crazy' robots when the points don't matter.

Off-Season Projects

The season is for Execution. The summer is for Experimentation.

Why Off-Season?

During the season, you cannot risk building a 6-wheel differential swerve. If it fails, you lose. In July, failure is free.

Project Ideas

  1. Swerve Drive: The ultimate rite of passage. Buy the modules or print them. Write the code.
  2. Custom Turret: Learn how to make a bearing stack and route wires.
  3. Vision Systems: Train a neural network to recognize Coke cans vs Pepsi cans.

Skills Growth

The student who spends the summer struggling with Swerve code will come back in September as a wizard. Don’t take a break. Level up.
