The Wago 221
- Pros: Instant. Reusable. Requires zero skill.
- Cons: Bulky. Can vibrate open if not secured? (Myth: Wagos are rated for high vibration).
- Verdict: Use for prototyping. Use for connections you might change (motor swaps).
The Solder Seal (Butt Connector)
- Pros: Tiny. Waterproof. Permanent.
- Cons: One-time use. Requires a heat gun. If a motor dies, you have to cut the wire.
- Verdict: Use for Production. Once your robot design is frozen, replace Wagos with solder seals to save weight and space.
The XT30 Connector
For high current (Power), never use Wagos or Solder Splices. Always use XT30 connectors.
